That being said, the Wii is the first system to ever rub me the same way the 16-bit ones did. Sometimes I read some of my old video game mags from the early 90s and really reminisce about those times. 3 very solid systems out and just tons and tons of quality titles. I have to admit though, the 16-bit era of gaming was, by far, my favorite. I would have to say that, on average, SNES was far superior to the Genesis game wise, but the Genesis did have its fair share of classics.

I absolutely fell in love with that game and still play it to this day. I was never planning on buying a Genesis because I was perfectly happy with the TG16 and SNES, but after going to a friend's house who had the JPN version of Shining Force, I knew I was getting one when the American game was released. I actually entered the Genesis kinda late (1993) and only bought it because of Shining Force as well as the slick Genesis 2. My story is that I got a TG16 first, then a SNES, and finally a Genesis.

I have since sold my GEN plus 130 games, and the SNES has gone on to dethrone the SEGA SATURN (yeah) as my favorite system.
